Arsenal face arguably their biggest test in the UEFA Champions League league phase later this week when PSG come to north London.

The reigning French champions have been regular competitors in the Champions League in recent years with Luis Enrique’s side looking in good form heading into tomorrow night’s blockbuster tie at the Emirates Stadium.

With Arsenal drawing 0-0 with Atalanta in their opening game of the league phase, Mikel Arteta will be itching to get back to winning ways tomorrow night against one of his former sides, with PSG an excellent test for the Gunners.

Yet the Ligue 1 giants will now be travelling to England without one of their star players.

Ousmane Dembele dropped from PSG squad to face Arsenal

According to L’Equipe, Ousmane Dembele has now travelled with PSG to England ahead of tomorrow night’s clash with Arsenal having been dropped from the squad by Enrique after a ‘heated exchange’ between the two.

Noted by Goal as a ‘world-class’ winger, Dembele has been in excellent form for PSG this season with the 27-year-old bagging four goals and four assists in just seven games, with the former FC Barcelona star featuring in every match for Enrique.

However, that will change tomorrow night with Dembele set to be excluded from PSG’s squad to face Arsenal, a boost that could give the Gunners a massive advantage in their Champions League tie with the French giants.

Indeed, Arsenal head into the game off the back of a dramatic 4-2 win against Leicester City, and with PSG dropping one of their best players for the game, the stars are aligning for the Gunners to claim a big result in north London tomorrow night.

Arsenal need to go at PSG at the Emirates Stadium

With Dembele out of the picture for PSG, Arsenal now have a huge chance to show all their quality on the biggest stage of all at the Emirates Stadium in the Champions League, where a big win could go a long way in reaching the knockout stages.

PSG will be one of the teams to in this season’s Champions League even after losing Kylian Mbappe this summer, with the French giants showing in Ligue 1 that they’re still quite the force with Enrique at the helm.

And for Arsenal, they will want to show PSG just how good they really are and why they’re a contender for the Champions League this season, with the first European tie at the Emirates Stadium this campaign something many fans have been waiting for.
