Since Mathys Tel has reportedly informed Bayern Munich about his desire to leave this January, a long queue of clubs have seemingly lined up to secure his services.

Mathys Tel is one of the prodigious strikers in European football, which makes the burgeoning interest in his signature rather unsurprising.

Tel has been offered to Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal — three clubs who could arguably be transformed by the addition of a brand-new number nine.

Chelsea are keen on signing Tel as well.

Just based on all the aforementioned clubs’ respective standings in the Premier League table, second-placed Arsenal have the edge over the rest of their domestic rivals.

How Tottenham could win Mathys Tel race over Arsenal, Man United and Chelsea

Tel’s desire is to play regular football wherever he goes. At Bayern Munich this season, the 19-year-old has started just three games in all competitions — which could mean whichever club signs him will be bringing in a player who is hungry to prove his class.

The Telegraph can reveal that where Tottenham have an advantage over the rest of Tel’s suitors is that they have built a strong relationship with Bayern after having Harry Kane and Eric Dier to them.

Ange Postecoglou is eyeing a versatile forward and Spurs are now set to make a move to sign the youngster.

Tel, described as “special” by Owen Hargreaves would fit the bill for Ange Postecoglou as he is capable of playing across the front line.

Arsenal have loved Tel since 2022 and still hold a strong interest in signing him.

Interestingly, Arsenal are ready to bid for Tel, who could be the answer to their problems up front.

However, Tel reportedly wishes to join Manchester United.

Postecoglou confirmed Tottenham’s interest in Randal Kolo Muani, who has since joined Juventus on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Tottenham boss would now be dreading the prospect of missing out on the £25 million (Daily Mail) in 2022.
