Report: West Ham ready submit £27m bid for 'Messi-esque' attacker but there's one problem

West Ham United are keen to add a highly-rated winger to their ranks this summer but there’s one issue.

The Julen Lopetegui era has begun and West Ham have already added new profiles to their squad this summer transfer window.

Luis Guilherme, Wes Foderingham and Max Kilman have all joined forces and the club are now keen to add another wide player.

In fact, they’re even willing to submit a £27m bid but there’s one problem.

West Ham ready £27m bid for Matias Soule

According to Italian outfit Calcio Mercato, West Ham United are ready to match Roma’s bid of £27m for Juventus attacker Matias Soule, who has been labelled ‘Messi-esque’ per talent scout Jacek Kulig.

The 21-year-old enjoyed a productive season on a personal level at Frosinone last term, netting 11 times whilst laying on three assists.

Now, having returned from his loan spell, the Argentina youth international is being subjected to heavy interest from Leicester, Roma and now The Hammers.

Though, there is a stumbling block for Lopetegui’s side, as it has now emerged Soule only wants to join Roma or a Premier League side of a higher stature than West Ham.

West Ham may have to look elsewhere

It seems as though West Ham are set to miss out on Soule, so they are now expected to focus their attempts on Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville.

The 2001-born ripped it up in the Championship last season, netting 19 times whilst laying on nine assists.

The Dutch winger won the league’s Player of the Season award and has been in talks to join West Ham.

Talks could accelerate over the coming days.
