Ruben Amorim has made his feelings clear over Leny Yoro after the defender produced yet another impressive cameo for Manchester United.

The Frenchman helped Amorim’s side to secure a draw at Anfield as despite playing just 14 minutes he still produced some crucial moments. Most notably a last-ditch tackle on Darwin Nunez who would have been clean through on goal.

The 19-year-old is very clearly a massive, young talent and having finally overcome a bad ankle injury, he will be looking to become a regular at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim is very happy with Leny Yoro

Ruben Amorim and his staff at Manchester United are very happy with how Leny Yoro is doing, according to Fabrizio Romano. The main reason for the defender’s lack of game time is the club just managing his minutes following a lengthy injury lay-off.

Yoro suffered an ankle injury which sidelined him for over three months and which hindered his start to life in Manchester. He has started on just four occasions since the injury but his displays off the bench will be putting pressure on the United boss to throw him in more.

United’s back line at Anfield was Matthijs de Ligt, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez. Yoro came on in the 76th minute for De Ligt and now he will be hoping to push the Dutch international for his spot in the team.

The youngster is part of just a few players who United see as untouchable and regardless of his immediate future, in the long term, things look very bright for Yoro.

How good was Leny Yoro vs Liverpool?

Manchester United fans were very impressed by Yoro’s display at Anfield and are now very excited about his potential.

One of the most striking features of Yoro’s game is his ability on the ball, the French defender just looks so composed when in possession. Amorim will certainly appreciate this ability when his team try to build out from the back, he completed six out of six passes in just 14 minutes against Liverpool.

Defensively, Yoro faced just one major test which he passed with flying colours with a sensational tackle on Nunez.
