Liverpool are in pole position to sign Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi in the upcoming summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 24-year-old will have just 12 months left to run on his Palace contract in June.
This summer will be the last chance to cash in for Oliver Glasner’s side – with Guehi left to weigh up where his future will be.
Liverpool are leading the race for the England star, while Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea will also be in the race for his signature.
Newcastle had been the favourites to sign Guehi previously but had up to four bids rejected by Palace. He remains a top target for Eddie Howe’s side, who beat Liverpool in Sunday’s League Cup final.
Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea keen on Guehi
The Reds are favourites to land Guehi at this stage with their Champions League participation virtually guaranteed for the 2025-26 campaign.
Arne Slot’s side are searching for a new centre-back with Virgil van Dijk out of contract at Anfield in June.

Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Friday (14 March) that Liverpool have yet to reach an agreement with Ibrahima Konate over a new contract.
Konate’s current deal is set to expire in June 2026.
Guehi is an established part of the England squad and has made 34 appearances across all competitions for Crystal Palace this term.
He has been with Palace since joining from boyhood club Chelsea in July 2021.
Nunez expected to leave Liverpool this summer
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on Saturday (15 March) Darwin Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this summer after missing out on a January exit.
Nunez was left unhappy after Liverpool turned down an offer from Al-Hilal during the January window.
The Reds are expected to be open to offers for the forward come the end of the season as he no longer features as a major part of the manager's plans.
