Richarlison breaks social media silence after source's Tottenham exit reveal

Tottenham forward Richarlison has taken to social media for the first time after it was revealed he’s looking to leave the club.

Football Insider revealed (January 17) that the 27-year-old has his heart set on a big-money move to Saudi Arabia, and has already told friends he wants to leave North London.

It’s understood that a deal isn’t close as of yet but he has made up his mind and will leave Tottenham after falling down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglu.

Richarlison recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines, making a 12-minute cameo appearance in Spurs’ 2-1 Premier League defeat to North London rivals Arsenal on Wednesday (January 15).

The forward also missed large parts of last season through injury but managed to score 12 goals in 31 games across all competitions.

The Brazil international has seen his opportunities seriously limited this season, starting just one of his eight games across all competitions, scoring one goal, and providing one assist in his 185 minutes of action.

He had previously found some solace on the international stage, scoring 20 goals in his 48 games for Brazil, but hasn’t been called up since their friendlies against England and Spain in the summer of 2024, failing to make it off the bench for either game.

Richarlison took to Instagram for the first time since the source’s reveal, sharing an image of better times with the Brazil national team.

With just one win from their last nine Premier League games, Tottenham have tumbled down the table, currently sitting in 14th, just eight points above the relegation zone.

Postecoglu’s side will face David Moyes’ Everton on Sunday (January 19) as they seek to salvage something from their season.
