Romeo Lavia shares Chelsea injury update in new message

Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has taken to social media to share a series of images while training on his birthday after his recent injury setback.
The 21-year-old has been out of action for Enzo Maresca’s side since picking up a hamstring injury in their 4-3 comeback win over rivals Tottenham earlier in the season.
Lavia has since missed Chelsea’s last seven games as the club’s title challenge took a major hit over the festive period.
Chelsea are now winless in their last four Premier League games, losing two and drawing two, falling down to fourth, level on points with Newcastle in fifth.

Lavia had been in and out for the side before the injury, starting seven of his ten games across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing one assist in his 487 minutes of action.
Speaking in his press conference after the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace game, Maresca hinted that Lavia could be set to return imminently, saying: "Romeo, hopefully the next game he can be involved."
The central midfielder took to Instagram to share what he was up to on his birthday, saying: “No better way to spend my birthday. Appreciate all the love!”
Lavia could be set to make his return in Chelsea’s first FA Cup game of the season against League Two Morecambe on Saturday (January 11).
Chelsea will then host in-form Bournemouth just three days later as they seek to put their disappointing festive form behind them.
