Tottenham face Brentford on Saturday afternoon in a game that is bordering on being a must-win.

Indeed, Tottenham have had a slow and unconvincing start to the season, and another poor result here would seriously pile the pressure on Ange Postecoglou.

Luckily, Tottenham head into this game against Brentford as favourites, and when speaking in his pre-match press conference, Ange Postecoglou has suggested that one of Tottenham's more important players could return to action here.

Yves Bissouma could return

Postecoglou stated that Yves Bissouma is back in training and he should be available for the Brentford clash.

“Wilson [Odobert], it doesn’t look good. We’re still waiting for it to settle down to get all the information but he’ll definitely be out for the next period. It’s his hamstring," Postecoglou said.

“[Yves] Bissouma trained today so he should be available for tomorrow. Timo [Werner] was ok. He recovered ok. Everyone else from the game, who played last week is good.”

Yves Bissouma was missed vs Arsenal

Bissouma missed the north London derby with injury, and it's fair to say that he was missed.

Tottenham seriously lacked control in the midfield during that game as they utilised an incredibly attack-minded trio of James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur.

Bissouma will bring more balance and steel back into this midfield upon his return, and against an ultra-physical side like Brentford, that will be much-needed.

Of course, whether or not the £25m man is put straight back into the starting XI remains to be seen, but given how poor Spurs' midfield was last week, it wouldn't be a shock at all if the Mali international was thrown straight back in.

Postecoglou needs a result against Brentford to get fans back on side, and in order to do that, he needs to play his best possible XI.

Bissouma will likely have a big part to play against Brentford on Saturday.
