West Ham are running out of time to sign a new forward.

The Hammers failed to muster up a single shot on target during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Crystal Palace in the Premier League, as Graham Potter opted to start Mohammed Kudus in a false nine role.

Danny Ings was the only recognised striker on the bench after Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug suffered serious injuries – with Jarrod Bowen also sidelined after breaking his foot.

Therefore, the need for a new attacker at the London Stadium is strong – and TBR Football understand West Ham have now been offered the chance to sign Noah Okafor from AC Milan.

West Ham offered Noah Okafor

Sources close to the situation have now informed Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – that the Switzerland international has been put forward to West Ham.

We understand the Hammers are fans of Okafor despite the fact he just failed a medical at RB Leipzig – although the AC Milan No.17 is being offered around the Premier League, so West Ham could face competition.

TBR Football have also been told Okafor has been put to Tottenham – after Spurs missed out on Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus.

At this stage – however – we must stress that West Ham only admire the Swiss forward as a player, and are not currently expected to make a push for his signature. That could, of course, change as we get closer to the February 3rd transfer deadline.

Okafor – who AC Milan signed from RB Salzburg for €15m (£12.7m) back in July 2023 – has scored one goal and provided two assists in 16 appearances so far this season.

TBR Football understand West Ham also hold an interest in Marcus Rashford – who Manchester United want to offload.

Noah Okafor has been tipped to have an “extraordinary career”

Mauro Lustrinelli, who managed Okafor within the Switzerland U21 ranks, has previously tipped the 24-year-old to have a great career in football.

The 48-year-old once said: “In the past, he had many minor injuries that sometimes prevented him from performing. He is now in very good physical condition. We already knew that he had magnificent technical qualities, speed and power.

“If he continues to work like this, he’ll have an extraordinary career. He already has everything and he seems to be going in the right direction. In Switzerland, we don’t have a player as fast and as technical as him. He’s the only player with such characteristics.”
