Arsenal have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks as the Premier League gets back under way after the international break.
The Gunners have failed to win in the Premier League since early October, which has left them nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
With the January transfer window now on the horizon, Arsenal will have the opportunity to bolster their ranks in a few weeks.
The Gunners were linked with a new striker in the summer but didn’t sign one in the end, so this is something they could potentially revisit.
Now, a positive update has emerged regarding Arsenal and one of their attacking targets, a striker who has been deemed “one of the best in the world”.

Arsenal think Alexander Isak will leave Newcastle in 2025
TBR Football sources have confirmed that the Gunners think Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak will be leaving St James’ Park in 2025.
Arsenal are huge fans of the Sweden international, though their love for him is matched by London rivals Chelsea.
In addition, both the Gunners and the Blues are encouraged by the fact Isak is yet to put pen to paper on a new contract at Newcastle.
TBR Football reported earlier in November that a 'number of hurdles' emerged in talks between Isak and Newcastle, including a prospective release clause.
How much Arsenal may have to pay for Isak
Isak is a striker who, at 25, is only just heading into his prime and has more than proven himself in the Premier League.
The 50-cap Sweden star has five goals and two assists from 11 club outings in all competitions this term, while his overall Newcastle tally reads 78 games, 40 goals and seven assists.
"I think he's one of the best in the world at the moment," Magpies teammate Emil Krafth told the Shields Gazette in August. "He's fantastic. Hopefully he can bang goals this season too."
However, Arsenal – or indeed Chelsea – are unlikely to get a bargain, as Isak is nonetheless contracted to Newcastle until the summer of 2028.
Newcastle World previously reported that the Magpies value Isak at £100million, so a lot of negotiations may have to be pencilled in over the coming months.
At the same time, a wantaway player combined with a potential lack of Champions League football next term may force the Magpies’ hand a little.
