Sources: Barcelona star could soon be on the move with Arsenal and Manchester City open to loan deal

TBR Football can exclusively confirm that the Premier League’s top clubs are being kept informed of Dani Olmo’s situation at Barcelona.
The likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United were all interested in Dani Olmo before he joined Barcelona in summer.
Olmo, who reportedly cost £51million, was registered only for the first half of the season as Barca could not meet La Liga’s wage cap restrictions.
Now, Barca’s appeal for the precautionary registration of Olmo for the rest of the season has been rejected by the city’s Commercial Court No. 10.
This means the Spain international may not be able to play for the club from 1 January, with Barca having until 31 December to register him.
Now, TBR Football can reveal Olmo’s stance towards a potential Premier League move, which clubs have been informed, and which clubs are open to signing him.
Dani Olmo could be open to Premier League loan move as Arsenal and Manchester City open to deal
TBR Football correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Dani Olmo does not want to leave Barcelona, but he could be open to a loan move to England.
The Spanish international midfielder was only able to be registered on a temporary basis until the end of December when he arrived from RB Leipzig in the summer.
La Liga allowed the temporary registration due to injuries but they have since denied an application from Barcelona to register Olmo fully.
A court backed their decision on Friday as the club have not made any progress with their cap situation which is at the league limit.
Barca have lodged an appeal which is due to be heard on Monday, but in the mean time the Catalan giants are working no other options.
TBR Football revealed earlier this month that Barca did not want to sell any prized assets to make room needed to meet the cap issue which is preventing them from registering Olmo.
Olmo for his part has a clause in his contract which means that if he is not registered, then he would be able to leave on a free transfer.
TBR Football can confirm that his agents are keeping clubs informed of the situation, and they include Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United – all clubs who showed an interest in him prior to his move to Barcelona.
We are told that they have been informed that Olmo is not eager to activate his release clause as it stands, but if Barca can’t re-organise their financial situation – a possible loan deal could be an option and a move to England is something he would consider.
We are told both Arsenal and Manchester City have already confirmed they would be open to such a deal.
It is understood Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Juventus would all be interested in a possible loan too.
Sources believe that Olmo, if he moved on-loan, would then consider his options in the summer but long-term he still sees his future at Barcelona, but that could change if they do not make progress with his registration.
What Olmo could bring to the Premier League
Luka Modric lit up the Premier League when he was at Tottenham Hotspur and Olmo could potentially do the same thing.
The Bundesliga website wrote earlier this year: ‘Like Modric, Olmo’s close control is also mesmerising to watch, and makes him decidedly difficult to play against.
‘He couples that ability with his will to drive the ball at goal, be that when in possession or with threaded through-passes.
‘Added to his exceptional ability on the ball Olmo also has a taste for a long-range strike at the target should space open up.’
Leipzig boss Marco Rose said after the 2023 German Supercup win against Bayern Munich: “Dani Olmo is an outstanding footballer.
“It was a great performance by him and by the whole team too. The way he took the second goal was fantastic.
“The thing that impresses me even more though is how he drives the team on and helps the younger players.”
