TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Trent Alexander-Arnold is ready to confirm that he will be joining Real Madrid in 2025.
The Liverpool hero has been able to start talking to new clubs about a potential summer move and Madrid have been making a big push to land him.
Liverpool have also been working hard to try and get him to commit to a new contract, however, their efforts look set to be in vain.
Trent Alexander-Arnold ready to confirm Real Madrid transfer
Following months of agonising over his future, Trent Alexander-Arnold has now decided that he will leave his hometown club Liverpool this summer, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
The Merseyside club have maintained some hope that they could persuade him to stay and as TBR Football revealed there is an offer on the table to make Alexander-Arnold the highest-paid England player in the Premier League.
TBR Football has been told by sources that finances have not played a major part in his decision, but it has been about the prospect of playing abroad and a new lifestyle that he wants to experience.
Real Madrid plotting second bid in January for Trent Alexander-Arnold
Real Madrid are now preparing to make another approach to Liverpool to sign the player this month having already seen a £20 million bid rejected by Liverpool for Alexander-Arnold.
The Reds refused the offer from Florentino Perez and told the Madrid president that they would not be selling the defender this month.
But with the 26-year-old having now made his decision to leave, Arne Slot’s team must decide whether they are willing to lose him for free in the summer.
TBR Football can also confirm via sources that Real Madrid are confident that they will be able to sign Alphonso Davies on a free transfer.
As TBR Football revealed back in December, Real’s transfer supremo Juni Calafat approved the move for both players.
