Arsenal fans will be happy with how their team has fared since returning to action following the international break.

The Gunners won the North London derby before picking up a point away at Atalanta in the Champions League.

Arsenal then came close to leaving Manchester City with all three points on Sunday.

And though the reigning Premier League champions scored late on, a point at the Etihad Stadium is not a bad result by any means.

Plenty of Gunners players have impressed for Mikel Arteta’s side, with one in particular winning plaudits aplenty.

Indeed, Gabriel Agbonlahor has described said Arsenal player as “probably the best” in the world in his position.

Gabriel Agbonlahor stunned by Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya

The player in question is David Raya, who has been a revelation for Arsenal this season, pulling off numerous world-class saves.

Raya made a series of great stops against City as the Gunners dug in after being reduced to ten men.

The Spaniard’s efforts resulted in Agbonlahor naming him in his Premier League Team of the Week on talkSPORT.

"Some of his saves against Manchester City, there were two great efforts from Gvardiol that he saved,” Agbonlahor said. “He was a presence, coming out for crosses as well.

“He really is the real deal, and I can see why Mikel Arteta brought him.

“I feel that Ramsdale wouldn't have saved two or three of those efforts from Manchester City players (on Sunday night).

“David Raya has been in outstanding form and probably the best goalkeeper in the world at the moment."

Will Raya play for Arsenal against Bolton?

Sadly, it doesn’t look as though Raya will be involved when Arsenal take on Bolton Wanderers in the League Cup.

As per the Daily Mail, the £27million man was seen limping after the game with a bandage around his right knee.

Although Raya’s injury is not thought to be serious, Arteta is set to rest him ahead of the Leicester City game, which should see him back.

With Neto cup-tied and Tommy Setford injured, Arsenal are reportedly planning to start 16-year-old Hale End goalkeeper Jack Porter.
