'There's a twist': Gary Neville has now predicted who will win the Premier League from here
Today at 03:15 AM
The Premier League title race is starting to take shape, and there's a clear frontrunner leading the pack.
Indeed, Liverpool are flying high right now under Arne Slot, and many believe Liverpool are favourites to win the league from now.
As ever, Gary Neville has something to say about the Reds' title tilt, and, almost predictably, the pundit isn't as sold on Liverpool as others.
Indeed, speaking on It's Called Soccer, Gary Neville has claimed that he doesn't expect Liverpool to go on and win the league from here.
Neville says that he actually thinks Arsenal will still win the league this season, despite the fact they're potentially going to be nine points behind Liverpool if the Reds win their game in hand.
Gary Neville tips Arsenal to win the league
Neville shared his verdict on how the title race will go.
The pundit says that Arsenal are yet to hit top form, and he thinks the Gunners could go on a winning run once they do hit their stride.
Tim Sherwood has also tipped Arsenal for the title, and it would appear Liverpool aren't the favourites in the eyes of some.
"There's no doubt they're the best team at this moment in time, but it feels to me like they will hit a patch and Arsenal haven't hit their form yet," Neville said.
"I feel like there's a twist in this."
"Because you do turn your form at some point when you’re a team like that and Arsenal’s form will turn if they can get within a few points and if they go on a run I think they’ll win it, that’s my honest view. But at the moment Chelsea and Liverpool are better, there’s no doubt.
"I think they’ll hit their form, they’ve got a decent run of fixtures over Christmas. I think they’ll get within a few points and they’ll hit their form in the new year. I do think they’ll win the league this season."
Arsenal's fixtures analysed
Neville believes that Arsenal could go on a winning run, and their next 10 games are rather favourable it must be said.
Arsenal do have a number of very winnable games coming up, and while matches against Tottenham and Man City will pose a problem, Spurs and City have been wildly inconsistent this season.
Arsenal do have the capacity to take a lot of points from this run.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Liverpool's run of fixtures looks equally inviting.
The Reds also have quite a nice run coming up, and it's hard to back against the Reds still being top of the league once this run is over.
Arsenal have dropped points in unexpected circumstances this season, and that's something that simply has to stop if they want to catch Liverpool at the top of the league.
Arsenal's fixture list actually looks tougher than Liverpool's in some ways as they have a game against their bogey team, Aston Villa, on the horizon, while their match against Spurs will be that much more tense due to the rivalry that exists in north London.
This will be an interesting title race, but, despite what Neville says, at the moment, Liverpool are favourites to win the league.
