Tottenham fans think the club is 'dying' after update about Carabao Cup semi-final with Liverpool drops

Tottenham fans are all saying the same thing on social media following an update regarding Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool.
Ange Postecoglou embarks on the first of seven games across the next 22 days when Liverpool visit N17 on Wednesday evening – a daunting fixture list which his injury ravaged Spurs side could really do without at the moment.
Guglielmo Vicario is still sidelined with a foot injury – hence the £12.5m signing of Antonio Kinsky from Slavia Prague – while Tottenham are also without Destiny Udogie, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, Mikey Moore and Wilson Odobert too.
Despite the treatment room inside Hotspur Way becoming more populated than Postecoglou would like, Tottenham fans are instead discussing a ticketing trend ahead of the Carabao Cup semi-final.
Tottenham fans discuss alarming amount of seats remaining for Liverpool clash
Typically, a semi-final on home soil would be a sellout occasion.
However, with just over 48 hours until the Carabao Cup clash kicks off, there are still many tickets remaining as Tottenham fans seemingly show their dissatisfaction towards Daniel Levy by voting with their feet.
On the official club website, supporters are now being told they can purchase more tickets than initially allowed given the lack of buyers so far – leading to fans suggesting Tottenham are “dying” right in front of their very eyes.
Firstly, one Tottenham fan wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “I've never seen it this bad for our fanbase before. A symptom of years of mismanagement that has ultimately caused many fans to give up. The club is dying in front of our very eyes under this ownership.”
When they say limited. They mean 100s of tickets are available.

It's a joke. A game of this magnitude, the tickets should be absolute gold dust.
People are finally beginning to get tired of this now.
A second Spurs supporter echoed that sentiment, describing the situation as a “joke” online.
They wrote: “When they say limited. They mean 100s of tickets are available. It's a joke. A game of this magnitude, the tickets should be absolute gold dust. People are finally beginning to get tired of this now.”
People are wising upto the fact the best way to really show discontent is not going and many have had their loyalty broken. Most levy defenders always said don't go, now they are getting there way and that in turn hurts the club. It also leave a the stadium dead

A third fan then posted: “People are wising up to the fact the best way to really show discontent is not going and many have had their loyalty broken. Most Levy defenders always said don't go, now they are getting their way and that in turn hurts the club. It also leaves the stadium dead.”
"Limited Availability"

"You can buy 3 tickets per membership"
😂
A fourth supporter opted to highlight how Tottenham tried to make the situation seem better than it is with their use of language in the official update, adding: “Limited availability? You can buy three tickets per membership.”
Very true. Only so much we can take
— Michael (@obimick) January 6, 2025
Furthermore, a fifth Tottenham fan said there is “only so much we can take” as a fanbase, defending those who have decided not to attend the Carabao Cup semi-final.
The amount of empty seats vs Newcastle….
— Habibullah Khan (@Huk06) January 6, 2025
Lastly, another Spurs supporter contributed to the discussion by mentioning how empty the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was during Saturday’s 2-1 defeat against Newcastle.
Arsenal fans have already shown Daniel Levy what can happen
Does anybody happen to recall the end of the Arsene Wenger era at Arsenal?
Fans were incredibly disillusioned after many years of stagnation, and eventually made the Emirates Stadium look noticeably empty on matchdays, even for a huge Premier League clash against Manchester City.
Eventually, the Kroenke family listened as discontent continued under Unai Emery, bringing Mikel Arteta in and backing the Spaniard enough to make Arsenal competitive once again.
Hopefully, the same happens for Tottenham – who want Randal Kolo Muani – if fans do end up boycotting matches, as supporters deserve to see a bit of ambition in the boardroom.
