Tottenham have made an approach to sign Ajax striker Brian Brobbey on loan, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has been struggling for form this season, scoring just four goals in 28 appearances so far.
West Ham have already held talks about a possible deal for Brobbey this month, however, Ajax will not allow the Netherlands international to leave on loan with no option to buy.
West Ham are desperate to sign attacking cover for Graham Potter, who is currently without Niclas Fullkrug, Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio and has Danny Ings as his only fit senior striker.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs have now joined the race with West Ham for Brobbey and have asked about the conditions of the deal.
Spurs were already in the market to sign an attacker but their need for a striker has been raised after Ange Postecoglou revealed that Dominic Solanke will miss six weeks due to a knee injury.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report that Ajax have already turned down a €25 million (£21m) bid from Marseille for Brobbey and claim West Ham have already spoken to the striker’s representative about a move to the Premier League.
Brobbey, meanwhile, has won two Eredivisie titles with Ajax and scored 22 goals in all competitions last season.
The striker was on Manchester United’s shortlist during Erik ten Hag’s reign and claimed in 2022 that he had turned down a move to Old Trafford.
United also considered a move for Brobbey in the January transfer window last year but the club were hindered by financial restrictions and were unable to make a move.
