Kieran Tierney sends Arsenal message amid Celtic speculation

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has posted a message on social media post as links to a return to Celtic continue.
The Scotland international has had limited opportunities this season, starting just once, but featured in Arsenal’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League on 22 January.
Tierney came on as a substitute in the 74th minute, replacing Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is also rumoured to be leaving, with Borussia Dortmund interested.
In the match, Declan Rice opened the scoring early after a well-placed Gabriel Martinelli cross was laid off by Kai Havertz for a clinical finish.
Havertz then found the back of the net himself in the second half, once again courtesy of a Martinelli cross. Martin Odegaard rounded off the scoring with a commanding goal to seal the win.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Tierney took to Instagram after the match to celebrate the victory, sharing a photo alongside Odegaard.
The Arsenal captain responded with a heart emoji, while teammates William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and former Gunner Granit Xhaka also liked the post.
Arsenal may need to keep Kieran Tierney for now
Tierney was given a rare appearance in Arsenal's 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb, highlighting his diminished role under Mikel Arteta.
Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly, despite the latter being just 18 years old, have become the preferred options at left-back.
With Tierney's contract set to expire in less than six months, his future at the club remains uncertain. Football Insider recently revealed that Celtic are actively working on a deal to bring back their former captain on a pre-contract agreement this January.
However, with Calafiori sidelined due to injury and Lewis-Skelly still developing, Tierney's recent involvement could signal that he still has a part to play in Arsenal's season.
Football Insider Verdict
Tierney's time at Arsenal has been heavily impacted by injuries, with the Scot already missing 18 games this season. Despite these setbacks, his return to Celtic would undoubtedly be celebrated by fans, who hold him in high regard.
For now, maintaining fitness and taking advantage of opportunities at Arsenal could prove to be pivotal for Tierney as he looks to reignite his career—whether at the Emirates or back in Glasgow.
He made 170 appearances during his previous stint and a return to work with Brendan Rodgers might be what he needs to rejuvenate his form.
In other news, Nottingham Forest are battling Arsenal for one of their transfer targets this January transfer window.
