Tottenham have to sack Ange Postecoglou before the end of the day after a thrashing from Liverpool, fans insist.

The Lilywhites remain in 11th place after losing 6-3 to the Reds in a damning loss at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Arne Slot's side were 3-1 up at halftime, with goals from Alexis Mac Allister, Luis Diaz and Dominik Szoboszlai. Mohamed Salah got in on the act with a brace in the second half.

Conceding that many goals at home isn't new to Spurs fans. However, it seems like this is the final straw for a few, with many calling for the Australian to be sacked.

Tottenham want to back Ange Postecoglou but may be forced into a decision

The North London club has experienced a season of mixed emotions, finding themselves mid-table in the Premier League but advancing to the League Cup quarter-finals.

Despite widespread criticism of Postecoglou’s style of play, reports suggest the board intends to back him. The club seems eager to avoid another managerial cycle that introduces a new philosophy and team overhaul.

Spurs are stil backing Ange Postecoglou for now.

However, much of the focus remains on chairman Daniel Levy, who reportedly prefers the coach to shoulder the blame rather than facing criticism himself.

This perceived attitude has drawn sharp rebukes from both fans and pundits, many of whom criticise Levy for his handling of Spurs during his tenure.

Concerns over the team's style of play have persisted, especially after conceding four goals to rivals Chelsea at home just weeks ago. That performance tested fan patience, and recent results haven't helped.

One frustrated supporter declared they would “sack him in the tunnel” rather than wait until morning, while another accused Postecoglou of being the “catalyst of failure”.

Another fan shared they “wanted him to succeed” but felt the manager “shouldn't survive” recent disappointments.

One said the former Celtic boss should go “tonight” while another said a sacking shouldn’t wait for the morning and should have happened “in the tunnel” after the game.

In other news, Tottenham could make a move to sign a Premier League goalkeeper in January.
