'Very bad blow' as player almost certainly out of Aston Villa v Juventus showdown

Aston Villa have had an impressive Champions League campaign so far this season, losing only once and winning three times.

Currently eighth in the table, Unai Emery’s side have vital European ties against Juventus, RB Leipzig, AS Monaco and Celtic coming up.

With the clash against Juve only a week away now, Aston Villa have been handed a boost in their hope of getting points from the game against the Italian giants.

Corriere Torino today report Juventus are suffering from a series of injuries and the latest to pick up an issue is Dusan Vlahovic.

The Serbian left Serbian’s UEFA Nations League game against Denmark with a muscle problem, taken off before the end of the game.

The issue is not a serious injury but comes as a 'very bad blow' to Thiago Motta’s side, who will go into the game in Birmingham without a recognised centre-forward. Other absentees include Juan Cabal, Douglas Luiz, Arkadiusz Milik, Bremer and Nico Gonzalez.

Vlahovic is expected to miss two games and is almost certainly out for the Aston Villa clash, as Emery’s side prepare to take on a depleted Bianconeri.
