West Ham only want to pay 'just over half' asking price – Hammers may have a point

West Ham United have been linked with Matias Soule endlessly for weeks, and as far as the Italian media are now concerned it’s the Hammers who are keenest on signing the Juventus player.

Soule spent last season on loan at Frosinone, with the 21-year-old scoring 11 goals and adding three assists in 39 matches.

Juventus have him back now and their only concern appears to be selling him. The Turin club want to raise cash and have turned to their young prospects to provide the sales.

The freshest report from Tuttosport, a sports newspaper close to Juventus, states the club’s sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is currently dealing with West Ham interest in the Argentine youngster.

It’s then claimed the Hammers only want to pay ‘just over half’ of Juventus’ €40m asking price. From a West Ham perspective that appears to be a reasonable stance.

Soule seems like an option which has been picked up by the Hammers because he may be available in a good deal. If that good deal isn’t actually on the table then it’s an entirely new scenario.

At this stage, there’s no reason for the London club to offer more for the attacker.
