West Ham United’s Niclas Füllkrug is starting to become an important part of the side after his recovery from an Achilles injury. Despite that, speculation about his future has not gone away.

Yesterday, there was talk that Juventus have made contact with the striker’s father, who manages Füllkrug’s career, and this came some weeks after the German was first linked with a move to the Old Lady.

Sky Italia reported yesterday that the 31-year-old can depart West Ham on a loan deal this month and Juventus are indeed looking at him as an option.

That talk has now been quickly refuted by those close to the ex-Borussia Dortmund striker.

Today’s edition of Corriere dello Sport reports Füllkrug’s entourage has now denied any contact with Juve, despite the claims otherwise.

That should come as good news for the Hammers, who will be without Michail Antonio for the near to medium future and will have to rely on Füllkrug a lot for the remainder of the season.

The Germany international has played six times since his return from injury and has scored once.
