Yoane Wissa has given his response to the confirmation of an transfer exit from Brentford for one player.
Wissa has been in outstanding form for the Bees this season, becoming the club’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League when leading his side’s fight back to draw 2-2 with Man City on Tuesday (14 January).
That has seen the striker attract attention from elsewhere in the January transfer window, with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Nottingham Forest linked with a move for him (The Telegraph).
Now though, the 28-year-old has reacted to the news of another exit from Brentford in the market, in the form of Tristan Crama.
Yoane Wissa speaks out as Tristan Crama leaves Brentford
On Friday (17 January) Championship side Millwall confirmed that they have completed the permanent signing of Crama from the Bees.
The defender had joined Brentford back in 2020, but never made a senior appearance for the club, having spent the first half of this season on loan in League One with Exeter City.
Posting on his Instagram story, Wissa shared Millwall’s post announcing the signing of Crama, adding sad and love-heart eyes emojis.
That was accompanied by a series of emojis suggesting he is sad to see the Frenchman go, but pleased for him to get the opportunity that comes with the move.
Football Insider Verdict
Given his lack of opportunities at Thomas Frank’s side, many will feel that Crama is a player they could afford to let go this month.
With how important Wissa is proving to be this season as he enjoys an excellent run of form, everyone at Brentford will surely have different sentiments when it comes to the striker himself.
As a result, many connected with the Bees will surely hope that this is the only farewell post the 28-year-old publishes over the next few weeks.
In other news, Rico Henry has sent a message to Brentford supporters after returning to Premier League action against Man City.
