After something of a whirlwind transfer pursuit, Eliot Matazo is now set to be announced as a new Hull City signing.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reports the news on Monday evening and it won’t be long until the Championship make the midfielder’s arrival from AS Monaco official.
On Monday morning, we covered claims from French newspaper L’Equipe which stated Hull City and AS Monaco had reached a complete agreement for the player’s move to happen.
The 22-year-old had also been of interest to FC Nantes, but it’s Hull City who managed to reach an agreement first.
Hull City are set to pay €2-2.5m, and this morning’s reports said he still had to make a final decision whether to join the Championship club, or see if he could get a more attractive offer from elsewhere.
Clearly, Matazo didn’t need too long to make his mind up and he’s gone through the medical tests to become a Hull City player.
