Juventus' return to the Champions League went quite well against Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, but the struggles domestically in front of goal continued in a third straight scoreless draw, this time against Napoli.

Over the past week we've seen two very important things happen.

The first, as we saw play out six days ago of this podcast episode going live, was Juventus returning to the Champions League and doing so in impressive fashion against a quality yet shorthanded opponent.

The other, though, is the more troubling one to many, with Juventus recording their third consecutive scoreless draw against league opposition, this one being in the reunion with former manager Antonio Conte and his new squad at Napoli.

Two games. Neither of them lost. But still some of the same issues from the last few weeks popping up once again as Motta tries to get this new-look side firing on a much more consistent kind of level.

Makes for something to talk about, that's for sure.

On Episode 250 (!!) of The Old Lady Speaks Podcast, we discuss:

  • Takeaways from the Juventus week that was.
  • What the heck went wrong for Thiago Motta and Juventus against Napoli?
  • Are we anywhere close to hitting the panic button because Juventus haven't scored a goal in their last three Serie A games?
  • Thoughts on the current state of Dusan Vlahovic.
  • On a much more happier note, Juventus returned to the Champions League and that went quite well against PSV Eindhoven.
  • Some thoughts on Andrea Cambiaso and how he's become quite the important piece to Thiago Motta's puzzle at Juventus.
