Talks underway between Sevilla and Arsenal over deal for 24-year-old midfielder

A big summer awaits Sevilla, as Francisco Javier Garcia Pimienta begins his tenure as manager. There is hope that the 49-year-old can take Los Nervionenses in a new direction, but radical changes are needed to the squad before the start of the season. In particular, midfield reinforcements are desperately required.
Sevilla only have Djibril Sow and Joan Jordan as recognised senior options in central midfield, but the hope is that Albert Sambi Lokonga will be added in the very near future. El Desmarque have reported that talks are already being held with Arsenal, after personal terms with agreed with the 24-year-old.
Sambi Lokonga would join Sevilla on loan for the 2024-25 season, but the deal would include an obligation to buy for the Andalusians.
This would be an exciting addition for Sevilla, as Sambi Lokonga greatly impressed during his loan spell at Luton Town last season. He'd almost certainly be a starter in Garcia Pimienta's three-man midfield, provided that an agreement is finalised with Arsenal.
