Blackburn Rovers boss John Eustace and Lincoln City’s Michael Skubala are in the frame for the Coventry City job, as per reporter Tom Collomosse.

Coventry City are on the lookout for a new boss after parting ways with Mark Robins and plenty of names have been linked with the vacant post already alongside Blackburn Rovers and Lincoln City bosses Eustace and Skubala.

Reports said over the weekend that Frank Lampard was ‘expected’ to be named as Robins’ successor.

However, given hints in the club’s announcement of Robins’ exit that the Sky Blues would be taking time in the bid to replace him, questions have been asked of those early Lampard claims.

Now, a fresh update from the Daily Mail’s Tom Collomosse shows the search is still wide open.

Writing on X, the reporter says that there have been between 60 and 70 applicants for the newly-vacant post at Coventry City. Lampard is indeed one of the names in the frame but it remains to be seen if he is interested.

Blackburn Rovers chief Eustace and Lincoln City boss Michael Skubala also look to be under consideration with owner Doug King and Dean Austin set to meet this week.

It indicates the search will not be a rushed one, as was expressed previously.
