Bolton Wanderers boss Ian Evatt has said his injured players are making good progress.

Bolton Wanderers remain without Jordan Osei-Tutu, Gethin Jones, George Thomason and Carlos Mendes Gomes at the moment. However, the quartet are not too far off returning.

They have a fresh injury concern in Eoin Toal and will need to wait to see the extent of his damage. Will Forrester is ready to step up again for him if needed.

In this latest team news update regarding the Trotters, Evatt has said, as per a report by The Bolton News: “Jordi (Osei-Tutu) is really close, which will help us, not in terms of centre-backs, but he will help overall. Gethin (Jones) is getting there. Post-window George Thomason won’t be far away, Carlos Mendes Gomes won’t be far away and fingers crossed Eoin Toal isn’t as bad as it first seems.

“We can only adapt and overcome. We need the next man up mentality and Will (Forrester) performed well when he came on.”

Getting their sidelined players back for their upcoming fixtures would be a big boost for Bolton Wanderers as they head into the winter.

Promotion is the aim for the Trotters this season after they lost in the play-off final earlier this year to Oxford United at Wembley.

They made a slow start to the campaign as it took them a while to get over the disappointment of missing out on the Championship.

However, the North West are slowly starting to find their feet now and have risen into the play-offs.

They are currently sat in 6th place and are inside the top six by a single point above Huddersfield Town, Barnsley and Reading.

Evatt’s men won 4-1 away at Stevenage last time out and will be in confident mood.

What now?

Bolton Wanderers are back in action this weekend as they look to keep their momentum going.

They face an away trip to League Two side Walsall in the first round of the FA Cup.

The Trotters then play Stockport County away next Saturday.
