Huddersfield Town are confident of reviving a £2m deal for Luton Town striker Joe Taylor this winter, reporter Alan Nixon has said on his Patreon.

Huddersfield Town had a busy summer transfer window as Michael Duff set about making his mark on the squad at the John Smith’s Stadium.

It’s been a good start to the new chapter for the Terriers under the former Barnsley and Swansea City boss too. They’ve lost just once in their first five League One games, winning the other four.

The most recent came on Saturday afternoon as they thumped a sorry Bolton Wanderers outfit. Josh Koroma scored just before the break to send the visitors into half-time 1-0 up, with Koroma bagging a second on the hour mark before goals from Ben Wiles and Antony Evans wrapped it up.

It’s shown no concern over goalscoring for Huddersfield Town, but they were after another striker in the summer window. It was hoped Joe Taylor could join from Luton Town, but a deal never came to fruition.

Now though, reporter Alan Nixon writes on his Patreon that the Terriers are ‘confident’ of getting a Taylor swoop over the line when the January window comes around.

A big £2m fee is cited, and Luton could take a more ’sympathetic’ stance after letting Taylor travel for talks in the summer.
