Peterborough United star Kwame Poku was watched by Rangers and clubs from the Premier League and Championship at the weekend, as per Rangers News.

Peterborough United are a club more than used to seeing their top assets attract interest from elsewhere.

They regularly recruit players and develop them before cashing in when bids from higher leagues come in. In the summer, Harrison Burrows and Ronnie Edwards were two to move on from London Road, signing for Sheffield United and Southampton respectively.

It was a tough window for Posh as they bid farewell to a number of key assets, but one star man who stayed put was winger Kwame Poku. Since then, the Ghanaian has found the best form of his career.

A stunning display in which he bagged a hat-trick and provided an assist for Peterborough United against vicious rivals Cambridge United at the weekend took him to 17 goal contributions in 17 games this season (10 goals, seven assists).

Now, it is claimed a host of interested viewers were at London Road to watch Poku’s masterclass.

Rangers News reports that Scottish Premiership giants Rangers were among those to scout the 23-year-old on Saturday afternoon. They were joined by a number of unnamed Premier League and Championship clubs, it is added.
