Wigan Athletic target Tayo Adaramola has been recalled by Crystal Palace from his loan at Stockport County, as confirmed by the Hatters’ official club website.
Wigan Athletic are keen on landing the defender this winter, as per a report by London News Online. WAFC have until the end of the January transfer window to strike a deal.
Adaramola, 21, was given the green light to link up with Stockport County on a temporary basis last summer to get some experience. He has since made 10 appearances in all competitions for Dave Challinor’s side, six of which were starts.
In this latest update regarding his situation this month by the North West outfit, they have announced that he has now gone back to Crystal Palace. He was due to spend the whole campaign at Edgeley Park.
The door could now open for the Latics to swoop in as they hunt for some new faces.

Wigan Athletic could see Adaramola as someone to boost their defensive ranks.
His time at Stockport County didn’t go to plan for him in the end and a change of scene may do him good.
After landing him, Challinor told their website at the time: “I’m delighted to be able to welcome Tayo to the Club. Again, he’s another player who has been on our radar for some time now, as his profile is one that we really feel suits our style and what we require from our full-backs and wing-backs.
“His intent to be positive and run forward with pace will undoubtedly benefit us and he has the athleticism to do this over extended periods. In watching him, we feel he’s really grown up and developed over the last twelve months and we’re positive that he’ll not only have a big impact on League 1, but also on our team. We are all looking forward to working with him and improving him over his time with us.”
Adaramola spent time on loan last term with RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian Pro League and played 14 matches.
The Republic of Ireland youth international started his career with spells at St. Kevin’s Boys and St. Mochta’s before moving over to England in 2015.
Crystal Palace snapped him up and he has since risen up through the ranks of the Eagles.
He was handed his first professional contract at Selhurst Park in 2020 and has made two first-team appearances.
Coventry City landed him on loan in 2021 but he only played once for the Sky Blues.
What now for Wigan Athletic target Tayo Adaramola?
Crystal Palace have a big decision to make on what to do with Adaramola next before the deadline.
A switch to Wigan Athletic until the summer would suit all parties involved.
