Waters, 30, scored five goals in 18 games in all competitions for the Yorkshire outfit. His loan deal at The Shay has recently ended and he returned to the Racecourse Ground.

In this latest update regarding his situation in Wales, reporter O’Rourke has claimed on X that Oldham Athletic have ‘agreed’ a deal to land the player. It remains to be seen at this stage whether it will be a temporary or permanent switch.

Wrexham are currently sat in 3rd place in the League One table behind Birmingham City and Wycombe Wanderers and beat Peterborough United 1-0 at home last time out.
