Charlton Athletic centre-back Lloyd Jones is a winter target for Wycombe Wanderers, reporter Alan Nixon has said on his Patreon.

Charlton Athletic and Wycombe Wanderers have endured very different 2024/25 campaigns to date.

Prior to the season’s start, many might have thought it would be the Addicks fighting it out at the top end of the League One table while the Chairboys jostle for positions in the mid-table, looking to squeak into the play-off picture.

However, it has been the other way round, with Matt Bloomfield’s side flying at this early stage.

Wycombe sit atop the third-tier table and are on a remarkable run of eight consecutive wins in the division. It has fans excited about a Championship comeback, but January could be key in their bid to achieve such a feat.

Now, in their bid to get there, it is claimed the Chairboys could turn to Charlton Athletic centre-back Lloyd Jones as a potential defensive recruit.

Writing on his Patreon, it is said that Wycombe have previously eyed a deal for Jones but with his Addicks contract ending next summer, they’re hopeful of striking an agreement this winter. The Plymouth-born powerhouse only signed a two-year deal upon arrival from Cambridge United last summer.
