Notts County saw a summer bid for Oldham Athletic’s Mathew Hudson rejected and now other clubs are tracking his situation, as per Mike McGrath.

Notts County have had a strong start to Stuart Maynard’s first full campaign at Meadow Lane.

The Magpies’ first season back in the EFL was a challenging one as they adjusted to the step up while losing manager Luke Williams to Swansea City. However, after some tough times, they’ve righted their course and are performing well.

County sit 4th in the League Two table at this early stage. They’ve taken 14 points from a possible 21 in the league.

Now, while the window is closed, new transfer rumours have emerged regarding Notts County.

Writing on X, reporter Mike McGrath says that the Magpies saw a summer bid for Oldham Athletic goalkeeper Mathew Hudson rejected. Since then, other cubs have been tracking his situation and with his deal up in 2025, an EFL move could come to fruition.

Hudson, 26, has kept four clean sheets in 11 National League games this season.
