Swindon Town have begun talks over a deal for Bournemouth midfielder Gavin Kilkenny, according to Football Insider.

Swindon Town have seen a big turnover of players this summer with Mark Kennedy making the most of the chance to change up the squad at the County Ground.

13 new face have made their way to the League Two side after a host of exits. However, the Robins aren’t done just yet it seems, with a couple of days left for business to be done.

They have until 11pm on Friday night to get some final signings over the line. Now, rumours of a new move for a Premier League midfielder have emerged from Football Insider.

They claim that Swindon Town have begun talks over a deal to sign Bournemouth midfielder Gavin Kilkenny before Friday night’s deadline. The Cherries are willing to let the 24-year-old head out in search of first-team minutes, though it is not said whether it would be a permanent or temporary deal.

A number of EFL clubs are alongside Swindon in eyeing Kilkenny but it seems the Wiltshire outfit have the upper hand at this time having opened talks. Midfield is somewhere they’re keen to add some more depth to and the former Republic of Ireland U21 international would offer just that.
