Tranmere Rovers attacker Sam Taylor has agreed a loan move to Oldham Athletic, according to reporter Pete O’Rourke on X.

Tranmere Rovers are poised to cut ties with the striker on a temporary basis this winter. He is under contract with the League Two side until the summer of 2026.

Taylor, 21, has made nine appearances in all competitions so far this season under the guidance of Nigel Adkins, six of which have come in the league, and he has scored one goal. The Whites are currently sat in 19th place in the table and are only four points above the relegation zone.

In this latest update, journalist O’Rourke has reported on X that Taylor is set to link up with Oldham Athletic to get some more game time under his belt. The Latics are eyeing promotion back to the Football League and are positioned in 5th inside the play-offs.
