Jota to make swift Rennes exit

Jota (25) has yet to make an impact at Stade Rennais since making the move to Brittany in the summer and, according to Ouest-France, he may not get the chance to do so.
Having fallen out of favour at Al-Ittihad, the Portuguese winger made the move to Rennes in an €8m deal back in August. However, it is a move that is yet to work out. He arrived out of fitness due to his ostracisation prior to his exit from Saudi Arabia and it took him a while to get up to speed. Once he did so, he was quickly injured and by the time he had recovered, Jorge Sampaoli had replaced Julian Stéphan on the sidelines.
Jota seemingly doesn’t feature in Sampaoli’s plans with the winger yet to make a single start since the new manager arrived. Ouest-France now understands that the former Celtic winger will leave Les Rennais this month and join a foreign club, the identity of which has not been revealed by the publication.
