Olympique Lyonnais need to offload players this January and they are doing so. Anthony Lopes. one of the club’s highest earners, left on a free to join FC Nantes, whilst Gift Orban joined Hoffenheim on a deal that could rise to €12m.

Another player looks set to secure an exit away from Lyon – Adryelson (26). The centre-back joined OL from partner club Botafogo last January, however, he went on to make just three appearances in the back end of the season. Having failed to convince, he made just one very brief cameo appearance for the Ligue 1 club before being sent back to Botafogo on a short-term loan.

That loan deal has now ended, but it looks unlikely that he will return to Lyon. According to Foot MercatoTrabzonspor have shown a keen interest in the defender and talks have since accelerated. An agreement between the clubs has almost been found. It is now up to the Turkish club to also reach an agreement with Adryelson himself.
