Mohamed Salah is having the season of his life at Liverpool.

The Egyptian star has been an immense signing for the Reds since joining the Mesreyside club in 2017 from Roma and after many impressive seasons in a red shirt, the 2024/25 campaign may be his best as the winger is on course to fire his team to the Premier League title.

The 32-year-old has produced 32 goals and 22 assists across 43 matches for Liverpool this season, resulting in pundits such as Theo Walcott calling for Salah to win the Ballon d’Or in 2025.

The best people to judge just how good Salah has been are the opponents he has played against and one star in the Premier League, who is attracting interest from Liverpool, has been full of praise for the Egypt international ahead of a potential summer transfer.

Dean Huijsen explains how difficult Mohamed Salah is to play against

Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen has been linked to Liverpool in recent weeks as the Reds continue to search the centre-back market for a new signing ahead of the summer transfer window. The 19-year-old is an attractive prospect as the youngster has a £50m release clause in his current contract.

That transfer fee has also attracted Real Madrid to Huijsen’s situation and the player’s father recently dropped a hint that the La Liga champions would be his son’s preferred destination.

One thing Liverpool may have in their favour is Huijsen’s admiration of Salah, with the Bournemouth star naming the Egyptian as one of the three hardest players he has played against.

Speaking about Salah to ESPN, the Spain international said: “Salah, because he is always in the right place. He is already where he needs to be to score and assist. He just seems to always be in the right spot.”

Huijsen might want the chance to play alongside Salah one day and that could prompt the centre-back to choose a move to Liverpool this summer, should the Reds winger sign a new deal at Anfield.

Liverpool target Alexander Isak given ultimate praise from Dean Huijsen

Alexander Isak is considered Liverpool’s top target ahead of the summer transfer window as Arne Slot looks to add a new striker to his squad.

The Swedish star is in the form of his life at Newcastle this season and having come up against the 25-year-old in the Premier League, Huijsen has praised the forward in a way every goalscorer wants to hear.

“Isak, because he’s a very complete striker. Tall, fast and strong. He can dribble, shoot and pass. I think he is a very complete striker,” the 19-year-old stated.

Every striker wants to be labelled as ‘complete’ and that is what makes Isak perfect for Liverpool, as the Newcastle star fits with how Slot likes to use his number nine.

There is set to be a lot of competition for Isak this summer and it would be a huge coup should the Premier League leaders land the Swedish star.
