Off the pitch, his contract standoff has emerged as a big talking point, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Liverpool have been tipped to announce Salah’s new deal by the end of the year, but it remains to be seen when or how the saga is resolved in the coming weeks.
As the Egyptian continues to dominate the headlines, Thierry Henry has singled him out for special praise.
Thierry Henry hails Mohamed Salah’s development at Liverpool
Salah’s first stint in the Premier League turned out to be an unhappy one as he struggled to get game time at Chelsea.
He was loaned out to Fiorentina and a move to Italy worked wonders for the Egyptian, who slowly started to find his feat.
After he moved to Roma, he quickly became one of the most reliable attackers in Serie A as Liverpool came calling for him in the summer of 2017.
While he was initially known for his goalscoring exploits at Anfield, Salah’s ability to create goals for his teammates made him one of the biggest matchwinners in world football.
Henry pinpointed Salah’s unique ability to score and create goals in equal proportions as lavished praise on his development over the years.
"It's for me the 'I can't make it at Chelsea, so I go to Fiorentina and Roma and now I'll show you that I can make it in this league.'
“He went from thinking a lot about scoring goals and he still does. But now he's like 'Can I see before? Can I assist early? Can I do something different?’
“That's a sign of a guy that uses his intelligence. The way he left the Premier League and the way he came back – it's astonishing."
Salah’s numbers for Liverpool
Salah has scored 227 goals for Liverpool since joining the club in 2017 and has also recorded 100 assists, making him one of the greatest players in the club’s decorated history.

He has shown no signs of slowing down despite being well into his 30s and is still Liverpool’s main man in attack.
The Reds need to tie him down to a new deal as a player of his calibre is almost impossible to find in the market even if they decide to break the bank.
