Liverpool moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Southampton.

Steve McManaman thinks Arne Slot will be displeased after the match, but the Dutchman has managed to continue his phenomenal start at Liverpool.

Slot has now guided the Anfield club to 10 wins from their 12 Premier League games, with one draw and one defeat.

The latest victory was a battle at St Mary's, with Dominik Szoboszlai putting the visitors ahead before Adam Armstrong's equaliser.

Mateus Fernandes then turned the game on its head, only for Mohamed Salah to score a brace and secure a huge win for Liverpool.

Liverpool duo impressed by Conor Bradley in 3-2 win vs Southampton

Salah was undoubtedly the man of the moment, but another impressive display came from Conor Bradley, who was filling in for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.

And the Northern Ireland international took to social media to celebrate the win, writing on Instagram: "Massive character to come from behind! Another 3 points on the board," with his teammates Caoimhin Kelleher and Tyler Morton writing "Love it son" and "Biggest fan" respectively.

Kelleher produced another fantastic display for the Reds as he continues to deputise for the injured Alisson, with Morton having been an unused substitute.

Could Conor Bradley land a surprising new role at Liverpool?

Bradley has had to be patient for opportunities at right-back, namely because he is behind star man Alexander-Arnold in the pecking order.

The latter is, however, constantly being strongly linked with an Anfield exit, which is becoming increasingly likely given that his contract will expire next summer.

Fortunately, Slot has a ready-made replacement in waiting in Bradley, who is more than capable of stepping up for Liverpool.

At the same time, however, there could be a potential vacancy at left-back, with Andy Robertson having not always been entrusted by his manager in recent times.

As has been the case at a handful of other Premier League clubs, full-backs have been tasked with playing on both sides, with Bradley again capable of making such a move.

He is certainly versatile, having played in a more offensive role for Northern Ireland, with his international teammate Isaac Price labelling Bradley an "unbelievable footballer".
