ESPN pundit predicts whether Alisson will soon leave Liverpool after claims of 'unbelievable' situation

Liverpool find themselves in a great position when it comes to one area on the pitch.
The Reds currently have three top-class goalkeepers on their books having acquired the services of Giorgi Mamardashvili last summer from Valencia.
Liverpool signed Mamardashvili as part of a deal worth an initial fee of £25m, rising by a further £4m with add-ons, as the goalkeeper returned to La Liga on loan for the 2024/25 campaign.
The Georgia international conceded seven goals at the weekend as Valencia were hammered 7-1 by Barcelona and during the contest, Mamardashvili told Ferran Torres that ‘Alisson’ is the reason he is not playing for Liverpool at present.
The Brazilian goalkeeper has been an incredible servant at Liverpool and will go down as one of the Reds’ greatest-ever players, which makes moving on from the 32-year-old difficult.
Alisson has a contract at Anfield until 2027 and one pundit believes the shot-stopper is going nowhere anytime soon.

Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili backed for success at Liverpool
Having signed Mamardashvili, Liverpool may look to move on from Alisson during the summer of 2026 as the Brazilian goalkeeper can be sold for a fee with just one year remaining on his current deal.
That is when Mamardashvili is likely to take over from the 32-year-old, but for now, ESPN FC pundit Shaka Hislop cannot see the Brazil international going anywhere.
Speaking amid doubts over Mamardashvili after recent performances, the former Premier League goalkeeper admitted that the Georgian is a good player for the Reds to have on their books, but Alisson is expected to continue succeeding at Anfield beyond this season.
“At some point, Liverpool are going to have to move past Alisson, I don’t think that will be anytime in the next couple of years, and he [Mamardashvili] is a good player to have on your books,” Hislop stated on ESPN FC’s Extra Time.
Hislop also commented on the situation of Caoimhin Kelleher at Liverpool and the former West Ham star believes he knows what is best for the future of the Irishman.

The time is right for Caoimhin Kelleher to leave Liverpool
With Alisson tending to pick up injuries, Kelleher has been incredible for Liverpool when being called upon over the last two seasons.
The Irishman has shown that he is capable of playing at the highest level with Chris Sutton labelling Kelleher as “outstanding” following his performance against Real Madrid this season, in which the 26-year-old saved a Kylian Mbappe penalty.
Ben Foster believes Liverpool are in an “unbelievable situation” when it comes to their goalkeepers, but it may be time for Kelleher to leave with Mamardashvili arriving on Merseyside this summer.
Hislop believes the Ireland star is ready to move on, with the pundit stating on ESPN FC: “I think Kelleher is ready to move now. I think he should in the summer.”
Newcastle, West Ham and Chelsea could all be options for Kelleher this summer as the 26-year-old is more than ready to take the next step in his career.
