A quick search on Sport Witness will tell you all about how life has gone for Naby Keita since he left Liverpool last summer and moved to Werder Bremen: disastrously.

And it seems that's not quite over yet with Sport BILD reporting on the latest development and the club's efforts to push the flop to China.

The newspaper reports that 'Werder wants to get rid of Keita in China' having cost the club €6818 a day for the grand sum of 107 Bundesliga minutes.

The club have already removed him from their website, with only his name and shirt number 18 listed on the site. This is just a year after he was celebrated as a top signing after leaving Liverpool.

The hope is that they can delete him permanently sooner rather than later as Keita has long since played his last game for the club.

The former Liverpool midfielder is simply not wanted after a year in which he barely played due to various fitness issues and fell out with those in charge to boot.

He earns around €200,000 or €2.4m a year but has never lived up to expectations, first thanks to injuries and then thanks to a lack of discipline. Werder wanted to get rid at all costs during the summer, but a deal fell through with Turkish side Hatayspor at the last minute.

That was thanks to Keita, who decided to cancel the move due to a 'bad feeling', something which left Werder stunned and furious.

Those responsible are now hoping to drum up interest in China, where some clubs have already shown they might be willing to do a deal. Discussions are ongoing in the background on that front.

Whether they can work something out remains to be seen but Keita is not wanted, and Werder want rid at all costs after a disastrous year in which the former Liverpool man has alienated everyone.
