With Liverpool facing City next in the Premier League, the Anfield side are in an incredible position to build quite the lead in the league standings if they can win on Merseyside next weekend, with Pep Guardiola already making his title predictions known.

And Dominik Szoboszlai has now shared a message to Salah after the winger’s performance.

Dominik Szoboszlai says he wants to keep playing with Salah for Liverpool

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Hungary international shared his dream of continuing to play with Salah for as long as possible, with the midfielder saying: “Everyone knows Mo. He just has to keep going and I hope I play with him for as long as I can.”

The winger’s contract with the Reds is due to expire at the end of this season, with Salah already attracting interest from Saudi Arabia ahead of leaving Liverpool for free in the summer transfer window.

Yet with the 32-year-old winger still one of the best attackers in the world, Liverpool could find it near-impossible to replace the Egyptian international, who today extended his goal-scoring tally to 12 goals in competitions.

Indeed, Szoboszlai is likely not alone in wanting Salah to stay beyond this season, and the Liverpool no. 11 showed today against Southampton why the Anfield side need to be doing all they can to keep the forward in the Premier League.

Liverpool can’t give up on convincing Salah to stay

12 goals and ten assists already in all competitions is nothing short of world-class from Salah, who this season is taking his game up another level with Liverpool in what is quickly becoming a season to remember.

And with the winger approaching the final six months of his Liverpool contract, the Reds can’t give up this easily on Salah leaving the club, with the attacker too good to be allowed to leave for free next summer.

Indeed, Salah is in the form of his life and still has much to give for Liverpool under Arne Slot, and the Reds need to do all they can to keep the attacker at the club for as long as possible.
