Ruben Amorim’s side are in a state of turmoil as they find themselves occupying 14th place in the league table.
Liverpool head into the game as overwhelming favorites and it appears as if one of their most exciting youngsters could be part of the matchday squad for the game.
Rio Ngumoha spotted in Liverpool training ahead of Manchester United clash
Liverpool don’t have too many injuries to deal with as the likes of Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley have returned to training ahead of the clash against the Red Devils.
Joe Gomez is the only player on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury against West Ham United, so Arne Slot has a huge pool of players to choose from.
With the Dutchman equipped with a strong squad, there is no need for him to include youth players in his set-up unless they really deserve it, which bodes quite well for Rio Ngumoha.
The youngster was included in the squad for the Carabao Cup quarterfinal against Southampton but didn’t feature.
And now, he has been spotted training with the first team ahead of the game against Manchester United, which is a huge sign of confidence from Slot.
Ngumoha has been incredible in Liverpool U-21 training, with the youngster making quite the impression after joining from Chelsea in the summer.
When can Ngumoha make Liverpool debut?
With six senior attackers and Jayden Danns ahead of him in the pecking order, there is no chance Ngumoha will make the matchday squad for the game against Manchester United.
However, he is clearly very highly rated as he has been regularly spotted training with the first team despite being just 16 years old.
Ngumoha has been tipped to make his Liverpool debut this month, with the Reds set to play against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup and Accrington Stanley in the FA Cup.
The game against Accrington Stanley is the perfect stage for the youngster to express himself, with Liverpool set to rotate their squad heavily for that game.
