The Netherlands dominated Hungary in a 4-0 win despite Szobo generating 7 chances for his team.

The Men's international break drags on as we wait for Arne Slot and the Mighty Reds to return to action. Several Liverpool players were in action on Saturday representing their national teams.

Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, and Cody Gakpo faced off against Dominik Szoboszlai when the Netherlands hosted Hungary. The match was stopped just nine minutes in when Hungary assistant coach Adam Szalai collapsed on the sideline. After being stabilized and taken to the hospital, Hungary agreed to continue the match despite many of the players being understandably shaken up.

The Netherlands would go on to a comfortable 4-0 win, with Cody Gakpo netting a penalty in first half stoppage time. Dominik Szoboszlai created a match-high 7 chances, but his side were unable to convert any of them.

After the match, Netherlands and Liverpool captain shared his respect for his opponents for playing under difficult circumstances.

"That was quite a shock, of course. You see someone lying down, you see someone shaking. That is quite scary. But thankfully, at a certain point, it became clear that he was stable. I hope he is doing well and that he recovers quickly."

"They had to decide whether they wanted to continue playing. I think it shows a lot of strength that they did carry on. I have a lot of respect for that."

Adam Szalai revealed that he was doing well after receiving treatment at Amsterdam Hospital. That will come as a big relief to all.

Elsewhere, Giorgi Mamardashvili was in net for Georgia as they faced Ukraine. He made a massive double save in extra time to preserve a 1-1 draw.

Several more Liverpool players are expected to be in action on Sunday. Ibrahima Konaté and France will face Italy in Milan with the top spot in Group 2 of UEAFA Nations League A on the line. Meanwhile in UEAFA Nations League B, England will take on Ireland with Curtis Jones and Caoimhín Kelleher potentially featuring against one another. Kostas Tsimikas and Greece will also play against Finland in the round of fixtures.
