Liverpool have been one of the most in-form teams in Europe since the start of the 2024-25 campaign.

Arne Slot’s first few months in charge of the club couldn’t have gone any better as the Reds have won 15 out of 17 games across all competitions after he replaced Jurgen Klopp at the helm.

The feel-good factor has returned at Anfield and it looks like a special season could be on the cards as they find themselves occupying top spot in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool are flying as a unit, but Aaron Ramsey has singled out one player for special praise owing to his consistent performances.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, there were question marks over whether Mohamed Salah’s form would dip.

However, those doubts have been put to bed emphatically within the first three months of the season, with the Egyptian once again emerging as Liverpool’s leading man.

Earlier this month, Salah became the first player in Europe’s top-five leagues to have at least ten goals and assists apiece, although Omar Marmoush joined him on the list last week.

And Ramsey believes the Egyptian is really leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of excellence this season as he continues to rack up goals for Liverpool.

“Mo Salah is absolutely flying at the moment,” said Ramsey on BBC’s Planet Premier League podcast.

“I know he’s in the final year of his contract and things like that. but he’s really going out – if that’s the case – he’s leaving everything out there. I’ve been super impressed with them [Liverpool].”

Salah’s stats this season

Ramsey wasn’t the only former Arsenal player to sing the Egyptian’s praises in recent weeks.

Robert Pires believes Salah is still underrated as he lamented the fact that he wasn’t even part of the 30-man shortlist for the 2024 Ballon d’Or.

The Egyptian has led from the front at Liverpool and will look to sign off with a bang if the current season is his last at the club.

The Reds, meanwhile, will look to tie him down to a new deal and look to resolve the drawn-out saga in the coming weeks.
