After being absent on the weekend, Darwin Nuñez is back training with the team but Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are absent from Bologna preparations.

Liverpool will play a Champions League home game for the first time under new head coach Arne Slot on Wednesday night when the Reds welcome mid-table Serie A side Bologna FC to Anfield for what will be the Reds' second league stage match.

On the injury front for Slot's Reds ahead of that European tie there is both good news and potentially a little bit of bad to go along with it, as Darwin Nuñez—out on the weekend against Wolvesdue to illness—is back in full training with his teammates today.

However, while Nuñez returns to training, striker Diogo Jota and forward Fecerico Chiesa both missed out on it today, which puts the attacking duo's availability for Wednesday night's European tie under the lights at Anfield at rather significant doubt.

Given the Reds' strength in depth, minor knocks that see Jota and Chiesa miss out on training for a few days aren't a significant concern, but Liverpool's schedule gets frantic after the October international break and anything more would be concerning.

After Bologna on Wednesday, the Reds head to London to face Crystal Palace on Saturday. They get back into action on October 20th against Chelsea before facing Leipzig, Arsenal, Brighton twice, Leverkusen, and Aston Villa over the next three weeks.
