Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool contract expires at the end of this season, with the winger seemingly edging towards departing Anfield next summer.
Updates have been few and far between in the last 12 months regarding the winger’s new deal, yet Salah this week dropped a huge statement concerning his future at Liverpool, with the forward admitting that he is disappointed that no offer has been made by the Reds.
Salah told reporters when asked if he was disappointed by the lack of a contract offer: "Of course, yeah. I'm not going to retire soon so I'm just playing, focusing on the season and I'm trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I'm disappointed but we will see."
Although Liverpool want Salah to sign a new deal, the Reds hierarchy are seemingly at odds on offering the forward a contract that could compromise the current financial structure, even with the winger in sensational form this season.
And fans on social media have had some strong words aimed towards Liverpool’s FSG owners.
Liverpool fans slam FSG as Salah announces contract update
As you would expect, Liverpool fans are fuming with FSG and their management of Salah’s contract situation, with supporters angry that the winger hasn’t even been offered a new deal as talks continue between the Egyptian international and the Reds.
One Liverpool fan posted: “And people blame Hughes when the real issue is FSG of course.”
Another supporter wrote on Twitter: “Absolute disgrace he's not been offered.”

A Liverpool supporter said: “Unforgivable this if a deal is not sorted out.”
Whilst another fan wrote on social media: “This is the first time Salah has spoken openly about his contract! FSG need to get serious.”
Salah has put Liverpool under big pressure to hand him a new deal
Salah is quiet when it comes to talking to the media and to addressing big topics such as his future with Liverpool, yet the winger has just thrown a massive spanner in the works in regards to the higher-ups at Anfield.
Pressure from fans and pundits will play into Salah’s hands in winning a new contract with Liverpool, and the Reds could soon have to bite the bullet and pay up for the 32-year-old winger if he wants to stay on Merseyside.
Indeed, Salah is arguably the best player in Europe based on current form, and Liverpool can’t allow the forward to leave for nothing at the end of this season, especially if the attacker ends up winning the Premier League once again for the Reds.
