Alisson Becker has stated he is fine after being involved in a gnarly-looking collision. Mohamed Salah scored for Egypt while Harvey Elliott found the net for the England U21s.

The curse of the international break seems to have reared its ugly head yet again for Liverpool. Ryan Gravenberch withdrew from the Netherlands national team camp early and Ibrahima Konaté was withdrawn at the half of France's loss to Croatia. Updates in both situations are positive, however, with Gravenberch leaving camp as a precaution after playing a significantly higher load of minutes this season than ever before, and Konaté being subbed off for tactical reasons rather than a knock.

Possibly most worryingly for Reds supporters was the status of Alisson Becker. The Brazilian netminder was involved in a gnarly clash of heads in a match with Colombia. Alisson has taken to social media to allay fears, stating that he is in concussion protocol, but is doing well.

"Hey guys, just to let you know I'm fine! Just have to follow the protocols! Thanks for the messages."

Brazil's national team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, stated that Alisson did not lose consciousness or report any memory loss. Alisson will not be risked any further, and will be returning to Liverpool early. The fact that he is being allowed to travel already rather than be required to remain for observation is a positive sign.

On the pitch, there were positives for several Liverpool players. Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott both found the back of the net. Salah scored and assisted for Egypt in a 2-0 win over Ethiopia in a World Cup qualifier. Young Harvey Elliott suited up for the England U21s and scored in the 37th minute to bring his side back within a goal. England would concede twice more, however, in a 5-3 loss to France.

Elsewhere, Curtis Jones received a start for the England senior team in a 2-0 win over Albania. Darwin Núñez and Alexis Mac Allister faced off against one another as Argentina would squeak out a 1-0 win over Uruguay.
