Liverpool fans can have very few complaints at this moment in time given their superb start to the season under Arne Slot.

Slot has impressed at Liverpool, immediately hitting the ground running at Anfield after taking over from Jurgen Klopp.

The Dutchman has created a sense of unity among his players in the early stages of the season, and indeed among Liverpool fans.

Neil Mellor also thinks Slot has improved Luis Diaz, although the Colombian winger certainly isn't the only player to have stepped up under the new boss.

Ryan Gravenberch looks like a new signing in midfield, while Ibrahima Konate is another to have really impressed so far under Slot.

Danny Murphy has 'concern' over Liverpool's Premier League title hopes

The whole squad, however, have played a key part in the early surge to the very top of the Premier League table.

Speaking on talkSPORT, former Anfield ace Danny Murphy has now shared if he thinks the Reds can stay there.

He was asked by host Jim White: "Will they be there at the end of the season? Right in there for this Premier League title?

Murphy replied: "I think they’ll be there or thereabouts. I’m not sure they’ll have just enough to get over the line.

"My concern for Liverpool is defensively if they get an injury. If Virgil [van Dijk] gets an injury, that would be my concern, whereas the other teams have got more cover."

White later pressed Murphy for a definitive answer, with the former asking the latter: "Yes or no, will they win the title?"

Murphy responded: "I don’t think so, no. I hope so, but I don’t think so."

Will Liverpool fade away under Arne Slot?

It is, of course, very early days in Slot's Liverpool tenure, while the manager hasn't exactly been tested too severely thus far.

He did, however, overcome an important test against fierce rivals Man United, as well as winning his first competitive match at Anfield against Brentford.

But an injury to the likes of captain Van Dijk could be catastrophic, primarily because of his importance to the club on and off the pitch.

The Netherlands star is a real leader, and undoubtedly brings the best out of those playing alongside him.

Joe Gomez is, of course, waiting in the wings, along with Jarell Quansah, who started the first match of the season against Ipswich before being hooked at half-time by Slot.
